The idea
You may have noticed, that the OEM trunk lock causes a lot of rattling noises, which shows, that the precise positioning of the lid is not given. Beside a disturbing sound, that overlies important acoustical feedbacks the car gives you, this issue also affects the aerodynamic performance of the rear wing. Further more you need to install for a safe, exact closure additional safety pins, clips or springs on the trunk, which look nasty and are not very useful for a daily driver.
The TRUNK MASTER combines a solution for all the problems.
The solution
Using a sophisticated principle, which separates the exact positioning from the latch, provides a perfect and save locking in all situations. Whether you drive your car in daily traffic or under extreme conditions on the track, functionality is guaranteed. By cancelling the clearance, the chattering-metallic noise will disappear completely! The installation time including the small parting work takes less than 30 minutes. How-To
- Remove OEM lock (4 screws) and bars connected to the key lock in the trunk lid
- part the steel sheets as shown in the pictures above (recommended a multifuntion rotary tool)
- install the lower part of the TRUNK MASTER in middle of the possible highest and lowest position (2 screws)
- Screw on the upper part of the TRUNK MASTER on the inside of the lid only loose
- While one person goes into the trunk, a second person slowly closes the lid.
- The person inside the trunk positions the upper part of the TRUNK Master and tightens the screws (4 screws) -> finished!
